NYIAS 2012: Le Americane
Ciao ragazzi! Cars and Wrecks blog รจ orgoglioso di
piccola berlina economica e tecnologica, nata dall’ossatura dell’Alfa
Giulietta.
รน
oltreoceano!

Hello guys!
Cars and Wrecks blog is proud to present a special post dedicated to New York
International Auto Show! Since 1900, the New York Motor Show, hosted at the
Jacob Javitz Center gives fans the best previews of the American car market and
not only!
Let's start with the world's largest manufacturer, General Motors, which sells in America the Chevrolet (general), Buick (premium), Cadillac (luxury) and GMC (trucks) brands. Opening the show was the Hot Wheels Camaro lime green colored, with a slogan "Made True Hot Wheels".
Impressive, but anonymous its SUVs and pick-ups which maintain the same backbone for all brands and made different only for interior decorations and engines. From the European point of view, it would be recommended an upgrade in style in order to makes these cars lighter and less macho.
Also examined the Chevy Volt, GM's first electric, which still has problems in combining price and actual savings. Despite the tight space for rear passengers, remains the best alternative to Nissan Leaf and other competing electric from Japan.
We remain in the U.S. and pass to the competitor Ford, which after having closed Mercury, and sold off Land Rover and Jaguar to Tata group and Volvo to Geely, also offers the luxury brand Lincoln. Although we disclose the new Explorer SUV, I was most impressed by the Ford Flex crossover, over 5 meters long. Inevitable to see the new Mustangs, also in the Shelby version, offered in very flashy colors. Worthy of note are the new Ford Fusion (in America is a large sedan), which incorporates, perhaps too, the typical grid of Aston Martin. The Lincoln instead, characterized by very aggressive grille, presented the new MKZ, mid-sized sedan and featured its old ancestor, designed and produced by Edsel Bryant Ford, the first son of the famous Henry.
Less futuristic, but closer to real cars Fiat-Chrysler Group, which also produces Jeep, Dodge and RAM brands. Queen of the stand the Jeep Grand Cherokee, recently landed in Italy, produced with much more attention to detail than the previous generation. Note the lavish layer of skin that covers the entire dashboard with luxurious stitches. Spotlight on the new Dodge Dart, small sedan, economic and technological born by the backbone of the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
It's always
a nice figure the Chrysler 300, more cared in details after the era Italian facelift,
now also available with AWD and a powerful stereo and a 8.4-inch LCD
touchscreen.
Jeep also
confirms to be the state-of-the-art in off-road offering visitors to the show,
an obstacle course to test the durability of its vehicles. Ascents and descents
with large angles of inclination and simulation of hills on one side of the car
and ride on the trunks. Brilliant!
With this ends the first part of the special post. Stay updated to read what the European manufacturers were able to bring overseas!
